I have known about Trenton most of my life since I study history. This is one of the most historical cities in the USA, not only because of its role in the American Revolution, but before and after as well. Being from California, I was excited about visiting it. What surprised me was how rich the architecture is here. What a visually stimulating city when it comes to its buildings! There are about 5 buildings I would love to possess. So far, I possess only one of them. But I am working on the rest. What I have found to be the most attractive aspects is that it is by the river, that it is a small city – no traffic jams that go on and on and that it is a friendly city. I am always bumping into friends whenever I am walking to the downtown area. I also find that strangers will chat too, and then they are no longer strangers.
Architecture is a hobby of mine, so I have always had a discerning eye for good properties. After determining that the structure is sound, a home must have the following qualities: - Good floor plan
- Space for a studio
- A garage
Additionally, I need a fenced yard for my dog. As for the neighborhood, this one, Riverside, is close to the river, and I like being close to some sort of body of water, within walking distance to a post office, and close to all main transportation arteries and facilities: Rt 1,29,129, I95, 195 and 295, Trenton train station and the Riverline. It doesn’t get any better than this.
My Trenton friends encouraged me to move here. My local family members were concerned, but they believe the myths about this city, and now they know the reality. It is not a dangerous place to live.

Mill Hill, Trenton

Right next to Mill Hill in the up and coming Trenton Ferry Historic District - a classic Trenton single family, and you can find its sister (by the same builder) in the heart of Mill Hill on Jackson St. Trenton Ferry is coined "the new Mill Hill" as experienced developers with extensive track records in Mill Hill branch out to the next exciting Trenton project. This house is a chance to do it yourself alongside luxury accommodation now being built. Solid Brick front, with exquisite glazed street facing bricks (see photos). This house was not de-Victorianized by over zealous 1930's "modernists". Instead there is a richness of authenticity from inset sliding doors, hardwood floors, French doors, original banister rails, deep window sills, stylized radiators, and ornate mosaic tiling and ironwork. Two staircases hint at the prosperity of the original owners, while the 2nd floor was built fully over the kitchen giving 5 excellent sized bedrooms. Impressive 10ft ceilings and deep window sills add grandeur to the first floor. Finished Hardwood floors throughout. Pleasant garden at the rear with established trees. Tall basement with new water heater. This is your chance to fulfill your dream and restore a gem - only in Trenton.
